SAFEGUARDING POLICY

Aurum Talent Group

Child Safeguarding Policy Statement

At Aurum Talent Group, we are fully committed to protecting the welfare, safety, and rights of all children and young people we represent. This safeguarding policy outlines our approach to ensuring a secure and professional environment for minors within the performance, media, and entertainment industries.

Our Commitment:

• We prioritise the welfare of every child and young person.

• We are dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment that promotes their development and wellbeing.

• We will take all reasonable steps to protect children from harm, abuse, neglect, or exploitation.

• We respect and uphold children’s rights as outlined in the Children Act 1989 and 2004, the Working Together to Safeguard Children 2018 framework, and relevant child performance licensing legislation.

Safeguarding Procedures:

• All staff and representatives working with children will undergo appropriate DBS checks and safeguarding training.

• We will only place minors in productions or projects where suitable child performance licenses and chaperone arrangements are confirmed.

• We require that all under-18 clients have consent and support from a parent or legal guardian.

• We will monitor working hours and conditions to ensure they comply with the relevant child employment regulations.

Parental Involvement:

• Parents/guardians must sign a formal representation agreement and a separate parental consent form.

• We maintain open communication with parents at all stages, including casting submissions, bookings, travel, and performance engagements.

• We encourage feedback and will act immediately on any concerns raised by children or their families.

Reporting Concerns:

• Any safeguarding concerns, disclosures, or suspicions of abuse will be taken seriously and acted upon without delay.

• We will follow the procedures outlined by local safeguarding partnerships and report to the appropriate authorities when necessary.

• Confidentiality will be maintained in line with data protection laws, and only relevant information will be shared with those who need to know for safeguarding purposes.

Policy Monitoring and Review:

• This safeguarding policy is reviewed annually or in response to significant changes in legislation or agency procedures.

• All staff are required to read and adhere to this policy and will be informed of updates as needed.
